Behind every seemingly effortless AI interaction lies a vast, invisible chain of resource costs—minerals, water, electricity, and human labor—that is far too often ignored. This project renders AI’s power consumption as a tangible physical experience, dismantling the illusion of "cost-free" technology.

Participants are invited to submit prompts via a web page, but there is a catch: to see the AI's response printed, they must perform an equivalent amount of physical labor by turning the paddle. Once the AI's response is fully printed, the device reveals the token count and the exact energy consumed to generate that specific response.
